Start with prayer and the gospel. God preserved a love story for you.

I am so happy for you to make this commitment and I hope the best for you on your walk with Christ.
Honestly, when I gave my life to Christ on July 20th, 2011, the only thing that really kept me on track was my christian fellowship.
I STRONGLY recommend finding a discipleship group, youth group, or whatever your case may be, to stay on the path to growing in your relationship with God. Start picking
up your Bible every day and make it a habit. Let Christ fully fill that gap in your heart where only he fits! And best of luck!

I would start by taking it slow. Do some soul searching and figure what is important to you with your relationship to God. Read the bible - average 2 to 3 chapters a day should get you through the bible in about a year.

If you want to start going to church - I would do research on the different doniminations and find ones that you can agree the most with. I don't think any denomination is wrong (except the ones that preach intolerance or hatred, or crazy looney stuff) - but some are more easier to receive their message than others depending on your beliefs. Also search out churches in your area and see if they have any type of mission statement and see if you are in agreement to that as well. And don't become intolerant and try to put your new beliefs onto others. I always like to read up on other religions beliefs so I can better understand their followers moral compass, and also grow deeper in my own understanding of God.

Just don't hurry into things too fast - my brother did that and kind of went off the deep end and hasn't spoken to anyone in our family in years.

I've never prayed for anyone over the internet, but I'll sure as heck pray for you, stranger.
