Does another know if the wine in Jesus' time was red or white?

Always assumed it was red coz of the association with blood, but i tried digging up something on the net and didn't get anything conclusive.

i did find ONE picture of grapes (http://dqhall59.com/grape_vines_beth_horan.htm) in Israel, and it was white, but one photo isn't exactly compelling evidence.

If anyone has done some research on this would appreciate a heads up. Or better, live in the middle east, or is familiar with area's vineyards.
