The Habit of rising to the Occasion
"...that you may know what is the hope of His calling..." (Ephesians 1:18)
You didn't do anything to achieve your salvation, but you must work it out (Philippians 2:12). Does your speech, actions, emotions and thoughts prove you are working out your salvation? If you haven't changed, it's impossible to say God has saved you and sanctified you. Being a Christian was never meant to be easy; God doesn't shield you from the requirements of being His child. Rise to the occasion-- do whatever is asked of you regardless of how you feel. Replace your complaints with spiritual vitality so you can face anything. When you manifest Christ in you, you will become like the Lord and you won't attempt to dictate your relationship with Him. Upon salvation, your life on Earth is to submit to Him so He can work through you and pour you out to feed and nourish others.
