OK so i live near a beach, and we have a group of christians who want to walk up and down the boardwalk and basically call girls sluts, and tell me i am going to hell for no reason. they do this all the time, for no reason just randomly yelling @ people for sinning and other things. ( i myself am religious )


Here are my thoughts. You shouldn't judge people based on how they look or dress, which is exactly what they are doing. Jesus didn't judge people @ all.
Also you shouldn't just stand on the corner and call my girlfriend a slut, or someone's wife a slut. in my opinion some people need to mind their own business. everyone sins, but it's how you go about acting after the fact. and for the record he called my girlfriend a slut for wearing tight jeans and a v neck shirt. the times have changed, and will continue to change. i think some people need to sit back and evaluate their own lives, and their own faith before trying to judge others, because there is only one judge and thats god. anyone else is just acting like a fool.

Yell out Bible verses back at them and quote what it says to shut them down. That will show them their hypocrisy of their ways.

A few good examples are:

John 7:24 Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” (NIV)

Romans 2:3 So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? (NIV)

The problem is religion.
There is biblical religion, and religion that the world represents. Seems like these people are super conservative, Old Testament believers. Which sucks.
Scripture says why notice the dust on your neighbors eye when there is a plank in your own.

What they are doing is damaging to the kingdom of God. 1 John 4 says how can we love a God we cant see but hate people we can see? it also says earlier in that chapter that God's love is brought into full expression in us. meaning that we are to love people in such a way that it depicts God's love for us as a people. Not by judging, or condemning. I hate the saying "only God can judge me" because i think that most people dont understand the truth behind that, but its true. Only the father can pass judgement, and condemnation. I would combat them with scripture, but in a loving way. A way that's not boastful, or prideful. With a heart not of malice, but a heart of love.
