Why did jesus call himself the son of man so many times. Is it because he really was a son of man and not of god. Could he have done that to show the truth about himself even if people later on changed his story and made him divine? (born of virgin/son of god/miracles)
Maybe the story of Jesus was a lot shorter and a lot of stuff were added in there by the romans later on.

because we was born of a man. He was God incarnate. Hebrews 2 talks about this, actually. The importance of him having to be born as a man, and die as a man to save the sins of man.
