Who in your life has inspired you?


I have been blessed to have many Christian friends.

There is one man in particular inspires me and is a great encouragement, I would like to share a little about him.

Everything he does is for the glory of God.
This man is 24 years old a couple years older than me. He attended the same university I did. When he was there he was the president of several clubs. He was gifted athletically; he succeed in tennis, ping pong, and basketball. He learned to play piano. He graduated at the top of his class with a 4.0 with a double major in chemistry and philosophy. He wrote and published a book, it's for sale on amazon. Best of all, he was a man of God. Every time you saw him he had a huge smile on his face. Never did he ignore anyone, he gave great care in knowing anyone he encountered; he knows their family, their story, and their walk of faith. I never once witnessed or heard him gossip or talk negatively about anyone, or pass any judgement. You could pick up the phone and call him anytime of day or night and he will answer or quickly return your call. He has been ordained by my church, Foundations International as a pastor. Although he carries tons of debt, his generosity is incredible.

Job offers for him were plenty and he planned on attending Baylor University to get his masters degree in Biochemistry.However, God had different plans for him, he now teaches algebra and geometry at a small Christian high school where he also coaches basketball. He has a gift and desire to work with young people.

He did all this while coming from a corrupt country in Africa where the electricity is not always flowing. He had to leave all his friends and family behind, who he sees maybe once every 2 years.

I feel tremendously blessed to have him as a friend.


He is a true Disciple of the Lord.

Dude, that is so awesome! It's crazy how much someone can inspire us when they live out true, and genuine faith.

Mine is my mentor, Tristan. I am pursuing my calling to be a pastor, and he's one of the guys who has really been pouring his life into me. we both come from a very destructive place with drugs and sex, pornography, so on and so forth. He is a man who never gave up on me while i was doing drugs. he knew that i could be more, and he believed that Jesus desired to do great work in me. He has shown me what it is to live out the gospel, and to be bold in my faith. he has allowed me to preach in his place on numerous occasions, and he has shown me what it looks like to love a woman the way God loves the church.
i am blessed, and beyond honored to call him my friend, and my mentor. its people like this that God puts in our lives to keep us from sinking.

now that i received comments from my team, my fellow martial artists, family, community members

it is clear i have joined the ranks of those i once felt inspired by

i feel over-joy'd that i lead them, because i am all of them
