how does a spectacle of blatant sin make you feel as a Christian?
I'm talking about fairly extreme cases such as stealing, habitual drug use, adultery, excessive greed, and the such.
do you feel pity for those sunken in debauchery? righteous anger for those breaking rules that the Lord has set upon us? ambivalent because it's not your business?

please try to be honest about how you really feel, it's quite easy to pretend to yourself that you are an objective mediator of morality but I'm looking for some truthful emotions.

Well it is very, very easy to look at somebody else and look at all the bad things that they do and see how much or a horrible person that they are. If you chose any random person you could come up with more than 40+ things on the spot that they do that makes them such evil people.

Yet when we take a look in the mirror and try to do the same thing to ourselves the case is very different. We can't come up with anything wrong about ourselves that we do. We could probably only come up with 2-3 bad things but overlook them anyway.

That is why we need to realize the true horror of sin that affects everybody and that it is a big deal. You can look at somebody else who has murdered, stolen and extreme cases such as that but in God's eyes all sin is equally bad. If you think evil thoughts about someone and how they should die you have already committed murder in your heart. If you look at a woman lustfully you have already committed rape and lust in your heart.

It is the world that has ranked how bad each crime is, not God.

Yeah definitely pity, it grieves my spirit, especially when I see a lot of my friends falling back into drug addiction, etc...

It definitely gets me praying for them, as well as helping them, for example, giving them work, to make some honest money, etc...

But yeah it does make you feel sick when those you love, who have not yet come to Christ, are piercing themselves with all kinds of transgressions.

In all truthfulness, I don't agree with any sin. But that doesn't make me look down on the person any less, hate the sin, love the sinner. :) God Bless bro!

What if I threw this curve ball at you: God loves AND hates sinners, and only by Jesus are we made righteous in front of God. Can a person be separated from their actions?

The Church is a gateway, much like the garden of Eden. God is un-touchable. Therefore take the next step. Town Portal back to Eden will always be there.

great to be Jesus friend. but there is more out there. u know wat u want.

Heaven will be there when u get there
