I am here today to let everyone know, no matter what your struggle, whatever darkened place you are in; there is hope in Jesus Christ. This coming from someone who has been addicted to mind-altering substances for over 6 years; from someone who has had the deepest seeds of lust, bondage, and sexual impurity. Jesus Christ heals! I was always the non-strict Christian; claiming most sins Christians called sins weren't and they were just super strict and ridiculous. That was the biggest lie of the enemy ever; I was not a righteous Christian.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 (NIV)
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Revelation 3:15-16 (NIV)

I was creating my own path in life, the path of the flesh, instead of walking God's path for my life.

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

The guilt, pain, and rebellion were my daily way of living. Blaming Christ for anything bad that happened, and only giving Him glory for select things he did in my life. My relationship with Christ was a side project instead of the main project in my life. I never thought I could overcome the addictions, regardless of being saved and accepting Jesus Christ prior in my life. I had lost hope in this darkened state and the past years of my life that were consumed by sin. The enemy had convinced me I was unforgivable, and Hell bound.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10 (NIV)

I was deceived and tricked without even realizing it. I sinned against God on a daily basis and didn't care because I was tired of fighting a spiritual battle and was deceived into thinking I was going to Hell. I'm here to tell you that God welcomed me back, with open arms even after the many years of sin. I am declaring now that my past is just that, my past. It is finished and I am forgiven. Being free and dedicated to God's will for my life is the best decision I could have ever made!

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord," Acts 3:19 (NIV)
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (NIV)

To my fallen away brothers and sisters, don't be consumed by false defeat the enemy has put on you. God loves you and awaits your return with open arms. He is only a prayer away. Remember your past is your past and don't let it consume you and God's plan for your future. You were called to be God's children, and regardless of what's going on in your life, the day will come will you will face God. Don't let other Christians you consider hypocrites or anything else keep you away from God, because you know the truth, and will be held accountable! Today is the day to make the decision to put your faith back in God, because you may not be here tomorrow! Once your eternal destination is chosen you can't turn back. Eternity is real, only you can chose where you spend it.

""Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 (NIV)
""For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 (NIV)

Amen to that brother! The prodigal son.

I was in the same boat; so vain & puffed up in the pride of the self, I had all these addictions & sins that I had convinced myself weren't sins. I would have died pretty quick from all this stuff,

but I finally called on the name of the Lord, reaching out with the hand of a beggar, I realized my wretched fallen sinful state, and asked Jesus to help me.

May he come soon and put right side-up, this upside down world.

God bless you my brother, my friend.

"He who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (So don't hesitate! Call on him anyone who has not!)

Thanks for the words of encouragement Brothers-in-Christ. God Bless :)

Here is a little more explaining on what went on.

My name is Kyle, I am a 24 year old from WV. I have known as well as others that I was born with a calling on my life. I have however chosen to live life the way I wanted and not according to God's will on my life.

I live with my parents and at our church this Sunday (I actually went to a different church with a friend) a lady came who had showed up prior in the week at a Bible Study claimed to knowing people who she had been praying for (those people had never met her). She came to church and my family always does a dinner after church at my house. We invited her and she shared her amazing testimonial, well she started praying for a few of our family members and church members and my Pastor was there and made sure I got prayed for. Letting her know God had a calling on my life since I was born. I was changed completely as you will read below from her prayer, as well as my Pastor Dave's and his wife Beth, she also prayed for a friend I had over and I'm hoping he was changed, she told us God wanted us to know something He had never had her tell anyone before, we were both Men of God now. My aunt told me God finally showed her my calling yesterday, I was to be a Moses and my friend my Aaron.
----------------------------------------
Now my Pastor's wife Beth and me were talking on Facebook and she told me she saw a vision while she was praying for me, and this was it.
----------------------------------------
"The vision for you came very quick- like a small picture that panned out wider and wider- I saw flashes of past decision- halfhearted for the Lord it was like black sticky tar was still attached and pulled you back- over and over- I could see the sadness on your face- hopelessness and everything behind you pulled you back constraining you - Your face never stopped looking forward but choices kept you bound up and then you would fall- I saw the Lord sitting with you in the mud and filth- your sad faces matched each other- His hand always over your heart- pushing - compressing it - The beat was weak at times but He never removed His hand. I saw Him actually at times taking the drugs for you to protect you for the affects- All the while loving you - whispering to you- comforting you-Then very quickly the scence changed from Hoplessness to a fight. He spoke that He was faithful to walk this way with you for too long- Change has come- CHOOSE-- I saw your face change to determination- you were pulling hard and stepped over a line in the sand- You went from being weak defeated to Strong- fighting this time - lossing and shaking free from what defined you. You almost looked like a giant as you took the step and everything else seemed small---- The Choice was made~~ time to run hard- not a slow step fast- Adam was a bit behind you but I knew he would be a support- strength- at some point He would carry a lot of weight for the Lord and the path you both were on but at this point He was still a bit behind you. I remember saying to you- It is a new dawn and a new Day- RUN Kyle- RUN-Time to move because much is to be accomplished. I had the sense that many times before you have tried to shake off the old but today was a day of not looking back- RESOLVE- CONFIDENCE- CHANGE- COMMITMENT- Freedom!"

That's cool that you feel this way bro. Sounds like you're on a spiritual high, but sooner or later you'll calm down like all other people.

I wouldn't disagree with a spiritual high, hope to stay this way, week 3. I'm praying I don't calm down, too many souls to be redeemed! I made my testimony into a site/blog/etc as well check it out!
