About your brother and what does it say about mocking someone that's disabled?

I googled and it really didn't help me to much, thought I would see if anyone had anything off the top of their head.

Say*

It says you should hate your brother. And the rest of your family too.

“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:26)

It's says if you hate your brother, you are guilty of murder.

That's quite the challenge to the unbeliever isn't it? To love Jesus more than your own family? It's definitely something that can't be understood through the worldly lens of the unsaved.

So then given Luke 14:26, Jesus is telling you that if you don't commit murder, you can't be His disciple?

If you look at the verse in context, he is comparing it to how much you love him.

He means that you have to put him first above all else, and be ready to leave it all behind for his sake.

I'm pretty sure any Christian can vouch for that.

bad translation from greek, I guess. cause the negations are different in english, and probly the translator got confused ... and the translator must have been very tired and fed up with all that bible ...
