Thanks for posting this. I may try to get this from iTunes so I can add it to my basketball pre-game mix. My son Marcus liked it -- I let him hear it and he smiled and laughed ;)

I like the song but I haven't posted here a lot because I wasn't really 100% religious until late last year. I was still sort of agnostic. But I have posted here before a few times, mostly before you joined d2jsp. I've been searching for good Christian rap for a while and it's hard to find stuff that is up to the level of rappers like Jay Z and Emminem, etc. Lecrae is REALLY good though :) One thing I'm getting sick of is having to not let my sons listen to my pre-game music. I usually start putting on tunes before I go to the gym, and I keep playing them there. But if my sons want to try listening to music (they can tell I enjoy it), I can't share it if the song is swearing. I don't have a HUGE prohibition on swearing but my wife does and I try to respect it. Also, I don't really want to teach my children to swear. I think swear words are sometimes OK even if they're not ideal terms to use. But they're also vulgar and I don't think they have much place in polite company.

Ha, I have the same feelings about the jay z and the what the media puts out on radio and tv...

I was driving home back from workouts once, I usually listen to my old Christian radio station, I was switching channels and I heard the worst song ever and it was just like what you talked about (Cussing and stuff) it literally made me sick to my stomache (got depressed) pulled over and spat out my protein shake I was drinking (Cause after workout I take em) lol but yeah I get what you're saying man. I almost thought marcuz posted a bad video, but then I saw the lyrics of the song and I was like "this is perfect"..

That's another thing, most people judge artists by the way they hear the sound, but if you want to really judge them, read the lyrics first. I trained myself to do that, I used to be very judgemental. (I dont support lil wayne or them though, and never will)

But grats rew, glad you're back man! I always just thought you were 100% religious because of the pinned topic you made it in here, so I figured meh rew is a Christian, but it's okay man sometimes we go with our up's and downs.. you will be fine man you're a wonderful guy, keep those kids safe for me will ya, love ya bro, god bless

Thanks, I will check them out. I bought Lecrae's album Rebel today. I played it a bit with my sons, but we got too busy to finish it tonight. I have it playing on iTunes now, though ;)
