Note: I do believe Jesus is GOD, but this makes me wonder.....

Why did Jesus wait till he was an adult to do his teachings and miracles? If he was GOD?

Bro they're so many questions about god/etc and all the "what ifs", but to be down to earth, i honestly cannot answer your question mate, because Jesus is all knowing/etc, he know what was going to happen, so that makes your question a hypothetical one :(

Other than Luke 2:41-52, the Bible does not tell us anything about Jesus’ youth. From this incident we do know certain things about Jesus’ childhood. First, He was the son of parents who were devout in their religious observances. As required by their faith, Joseph and Mary made the yearly pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. In addition, they brought their 12-year-old son to celebrate His first Feast in preparation for His bar mitzvah at age 13, when Jewish boys commemorate their passage into adulthood. Here we see a typical boy in a typical family of that day.

We see also in this story that Jesus’ lingering in the temple was neither mischievous nor disobedient, but a natural result of His knowledge that He must be about His Father’s business. That He was astonishing the temple teachers with His wisdom and knowledge speaks to His extraordinary abilities, while His listening and asking questions of His elders shows that He was utterly respectful, taking the role of a student as was fitting for a child of His age.

From this incident to His baptism at age 30, all we know of Jesus’ youth was that He left Jerusalem and returned to Nazareth with His parents and “was obedient to them” Luke 2:51. He fulfilled His duty to His earthly parents in submission to the 5th commandment, an essential part of the perfect obedience to the law of Moses which He rendered on our behalf. Beyond that, all we know is that “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men" (Luke 2:52).

Evidently, this is all God determined that we needed to know. There are some extra-Biblical writings which contain stories of Jesus’ youth (the Gospel of Thomas, for example). But we have no way of knowing whether any of these stories are true and reliable. God chose not to tell us much about Jesus’ childhood – so we have to just trust Him that nothing occurred which we need to know about.

He started at the age of 12,

Then he disappeared for years.

Then he was crucified and resurrected at the age of 33

...30 is the age of spiritual maturity in Scripture since in those days it took that long to be recognized as a rabbi . There is also a strong parellel between David becoming King of Israel at age 30 with Jesus being of the House of David and assuming the spiritual mantle of King at the same age .

Hello there, Jesus is indeed God just like God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - a mystery that shall be revealed when we see Him face to face one day. Just like water in its 3 states - solid, liquid & gas (ice, water, steam). All three are m...ade of H20 - the chemical symbol of water. They exist as three but are one due to the chemical symbol. Just like the 3 sides of a triangle - 3 sides but 1 triangle. The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit are three different facets of God but all having the same quality, and all are in agreement (there is no confusion among them). The above verses prove that Jesus is God and that the Father and the Son are made of Spirit. Because They are made of Spirit - Holy Spirit - they can be at more than one place at the same time - OMNIPRESENT. That may seem They are separated from each other but actually They are not. Just like when Jesus walked this earth, due to the power of the Holy Spirit, God could come down to earth in the form of a baby even though He was up in Heaven as the Father AT THE SAME TIME as Jesus' birth. It's the Holy Spirit who makes this possible. Those of us who truly seek Jesus will begin to understand this day by day IF we truly seek Him. So those who don't believe Jesus is God - well, you are welcome to your beliefs. You've got to KNOW Jesus intimately to understand what I'm saying here. Coz no amount of explanation can take away your unbelief otherwise.

Just an additional thought: once God came down as a baby, He is now the Son of God - Jesus Christ. Before this, if you notice, Jesus was never known as the Son of God. He was known as the Word of God or Logos in the Greek which means Spokes...person or Spokesman - Someone who speaks/does things on God's behalf. When God spoke the creation into being, Jesus did the creating but He was not known as Jesus at the time but the Word as mentioned in John 1:1. In fact Genesis states: "Let US make man in our image." The US already shows plurality, meaning more than 1 Person of the Godhead, one of whom is the Word who later became Jesus when He was born.
