With all of the junk out there in the world about religion vs science I want to tell you guys how I feel and hope you will do the same.
I believe in God AND that Jesus came to die for our sins. Many people argue that this never happened. I KNOW it happened.
Out of every piece of scripture not one thing contradicts another even though there have been over 40 authors. Some people might say that one thing contradicts another, but in actuality they do not know what the bible is saying.
Thousands of people witnessed the works of Jesus. These testimonials can be found throughout the bible. Again, not contradictions. And if the people actually say Jesus walked on water, rose from the dead, rose other people from the dead, etc, then he had to be who he said he was.
I am a very math oriented person (engineer) and I scientifically (Besides what the bible said) have a hard time believing that everything in the universe just "is." Look at your computer, did someone build it or did it just happen to be that way?
I am curious to know why you guys believe one way or the other. I am not the most well read Christian so don't expect a pastoral response, but I know my stuff =).
