in regards to this thread, yes i know it got closed.

but wanted to point this out. Myself being and artist and all, I've done research on this in the past.


the reason you see " white Jesus " and only paintings of Jesus white is because obviously there were no cameras then.... and the famous paintings etc done by masters, had to use a reference

so sometimes the paintings you see are actually self portraits of the painters ( using a mirror ) then adding long hair/robe/beard

or they would find and hire a model as there doing their painting... keep in mind most of these paintings came out of europe ( primarily white )



but what we know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He was more than likely darker skinned than most think.

Also with the people born in Bethlehem and his race the Scientists can dig up bodies of people in that are and find bones and skulls. The shapes of the skulls were different for every nation. The head of Jesus is the shape of the skull from that area.

The important thing to note is that Jesus is the son of God, the creator of the Universe.

Middle eastern people are light skinned for the most part.

It's the people who live in India that are dark skinned.

So Jesus was white, but with dark hair and probably brown eyes. Just like today's Jews.
