So my best friend is Mormon, and he's actually away on his 2 year mission at the moment, in Germany.

We've had plenty of talks about faith over the years, and how we both believe and live for Jesus. Once a few years ago, I made a comment about how I was Christian, and he said Mormons are Christians too.

Well, on the other side of the spectrum I've also heard people say Mormons aren't considered Christians.

Anyone know for a fact if Mormons are Christians or not?

And please provide some reasoning about what's similar or different enough, to determine whether they are or not.

Thanks :)

Mormonism was started in the late 1800s by a guy named Joseph Smith. Mormonism is directly contradictory and opposite to Christianity.

For example, the Mormon believes that by his good works, he will become a god of his own planet, and that God was once a man like us humans.

Christianity is the opposite, we are to humble ourselves and give up the selfish nature of man for Christ's sake. It takes a humble spirit, and reverence for God.

It's false, and leads people away from the truth of Jesus Christ.

But in Mc. Derp 2:7 it's also stating that "god created everything, including other religions".

yes but, if you look in Reptis 7:12 it says directly "I did not create people who believe in mormonism, the devil did"

You're right, but don't forget Malzahar 5:6 "I created the devil, the Rolling Stones and Flash McQueen"

Jesus Christ and him crucified, buried, and resurrected the third day.

Man has sinned and is in need of redemption. Our God is just and righteous.
