Just know that you shouldn't only ever go to God when you have a problem like he is an emergency God. You should also be with him when you are living the high life. Thank him for it but still live through Christian values.

That made absolutely no sense to me man so you're saying that I dont live with christian values when I dont have god in my life?? That is wrong, maybe my paragraph confused you a little/etc, but I don't use god as a emergency "GOD" he is within my heart all the time, 24/7, next to me. I act like jesus is literally standing next to me (I try to act the best I can) no one is perfect, I will sin, I must admit.. we all will sin I cannot be perfect man....

Also as to your "living the high life" My points in my life when they're the highest, is at worshipping at church, pitching @ baseball for my school, and when I do both of those, I feel the presence of god the most to be honest. (I also need the presence of god to be with me or I will fail) I love it... I just wanted to share this because the last topic got closed (no idea why), anyone else is welcome to share though.

Another high moment in my life, is when for our baseball conditioning practice/etc we have to run the mile in like 5:30.... while I am running the last lap.. I want to quit but everytime I want to quit I think of jesus and what he had to suffer just for me to live, while on that last lap trying to sprint as fast as I can, I think and feel god with me, and it helps and gives me the motivation to finish the mile, and to push myself to the next level. God is always in, emergency or not. If they're emergencies I can go to god whenever I want also, there is no where in the bible saying I Cannot talk to god, he will be here for me forever and eternity ;)

Sounds to me like he is saying not to just pray to God (or go to him) in times of need. Often times as Christians we go to God and give him grocery lists of needs, wants, and desires. We need spend more time recognizing who God is and spending a lot more time thanking him for all he has done.

That's what I got out of that at least.

A thread aimed at ME!? In the Christian Fellowship forums!? I suppose you are wondering what my response will be.

Right now in Church we are studying the book of Judges and the downward spiral of Israel. The cycle of what happens is the Israelites do evil in the eyes of the Lord (Sin). The Lord then proceeds to punish Israel by handing them over to their enemies (Judgement). The Israelites cry out for help to the Lord and the Lord responds and saves them (Salvation). The Israelites will then go back to sinning again but in even more corrupt ways than previously (Sin).

What I am saying is if you look at that cycle, that is a reflection of many people nowadays. You go off and do whatever you want and when things get hard you turn to the Lord for help. He will answer your prayers and you will go off and sin again whilst forgetting the Lord. Hence I reiterate the EMERGENCY Lord.

Gives me more motivation to live, love others. Helps me through rough times as in relationship problems/etc, I can lay out all my problems with god and everything will be okay, I don't have alot of Real life friends, or really not that much of a family support, but I always know I can go to god and talk to him whenever I need to, that satisfaction right there helps me in life because I have the confidence that somone loves and cares about me 24/7, that's something I need in my life, hence I try to gain attention alot to make me feel better about myself (Which is why I put my videos in private atm) But in the end, god will be with me forever, so when I look back at the videos/etc I have made, I feel guilty that's why they're private atm.  He helps me with everyhing really, I can talk to him about anything I want and he helps me and answers my prayers all the time, I love god and he will always be with me and I will always be with him.

The bolded part gave me the impression that you only go to God in an emergency. The Italics part gave me the impression that it was all about you. I mean you do say 'I' and 'me' a lot. You did give an example of when you felt God while things were going hard with your baseball condition practice and when you are at church. What about when you are just doing everyday things or when you have EVERYTHING going your way? The time when people usually forget God the most is when everything is going perfectly well and the day just keeps getting better and better.

If you are playing baseball and you are absolutely slaughtering the other team for example. Would you feel the presence of God then? Maybe you do but understand that many people will think that it was their team who won it for them and the glory goes around the team and not to God. Or flip the coin the other way when YOUR team are the ones that are getting slaughtered. Would you feel the presence of God then or would you feel as though he has left you entirely? When it is a very close game and it could go either way do you feel the presence of God then or are you acting in the moment of the game?

The point I am trying to make is that you should feel God's presence NO MATTER WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE GAME. Apply that to your everyday life. No matter if things are going hard, easy, or just getting along smoothly you should always have God at the centre of everything that you ever do. You live for him and nothing should replace that, ever.

When I am on the mound pitching, I could careless who wins or what the score is, I just feel blessed to beable to be an athlete and pitch. I don't care who wins or looses, I will have the same mentality if we are down 20-0 or if we are ahead 15-0 in a world series, I will keep the same mentality and the same presense of god in me. I do agree with you saying I don't have him in my 100% during my daily lives. That's where being a better christian/role model takes it tole. because sometimes Sins slip out because I am not perfect, so it's hard for me, but as of right now I have him in my heart and I show proof of that by not having sexual sin like I used to, and reading the bible, going to church, non only that, I can feel his presence more, especially when I don't do sexual sin or whatnot, it's awesome.

This is what I do when I pitch, were did I say I think otherwise when the score is different/etc??

If we are ahead by 20 or down by 20, the same mentality of god and playing the game is exactly the same, that's how pitchers make it to the next level, and I am just so blessed to beable to play at a college level, I am so humble it's astounding and I love every second of it
