How many people here devote their time to help churches?

Doesn't matter how much, as I mainly help around holidays.
Our church is having free meals for the needy, poor, underprivileged.
So I go there the morning before Christmas to make hundreds of trays of food.
Then we go on Christmas morning and to certain missions they have set up around here and give the food away and toys people donated.
I started helping a few years ago starting at Thanksgiving. Now I'm honestly not the best Christian in the world and probably in a lot of peoples eyes,
I'm not even close. But I try hard to work with what I got, I love Jesus with all my heart.

It sends chills through my body to know that I am helping people who probably feel like they never caught a break in life, the people who have tried so hard and are still being tested by our Lord. I might not go to Church every week but I try to spread the word to some random person at least once a month, I help somebody when I see they need help and I tell God Bless You after I do. Whether it's helping somebody push their broke car to where they need it, or helping a elderly person carry something. I think we can all benefit from helping others. God has done so much for my life spiritually that I feel I MUST do things for others.

Nothing makes me feel better then knowing I helped spread the word of Christ in a positive way. I just wish I would of found this out sooner.

What I am looking for really, is more ways I can help churches and people with a "hands-on" approach. Things you do or have done, or even things you have seen people do.

Thanks anybody who reads this and anybody who reply's,
Christ is always smiling over you.

I intern at my church full time, doing various things like preparing for Sundays and web design for our new website.

According to Ephesians, the leaders of the church are to equip the believers to do the work of ministry in the church.

Far too often people think it's the pastor(s) job to do everything, but it's not.

Ask your pastor of any way you can get involved. Try and think of some ways that you believe God has gifted you to serve in the church, and see if there are needs based on those things.
