Some good Christian metal bands:
The Devil Wears Prada
Underoath
August Burns Red
As I Lay Dying

And for one of the most amazing bands ever, but more "positive message" than Christian, check out We Came as Romans.

Its kind of contradictory IMO

I don't know if all is like this, but I heard one supposed "Christian" death metal band, and it just sounded satanic, people were doing the devil horns symbol, and it was just like the rest of the world.

It was just like any other screamo band, and even if the guy was saying something good, you couldn't really make out the words anyways.

I just see a lot of musicians trying to conform to this world rather than coming out of the world and being a separate people as Jesus commanded.

First off. The metal hands \m/ are nothing of the sort satanic.

And why does it matter if someone cant interpret the words easily? A lot of people would disagree with this. if you read the lyrics with the song, you can actually make out the words. It's almost like learning an entire new language. :)
And a lot of these bands praise god and practically preach inbetween songs or when they're closing.

What they do is a great thing, and they bring a positive message.

i'm not even a christian, but. None the less the fact that they proudly stand for something they believe in. That's respectable.

Some of the most powerful worship I have experienced comes from heavy metal. For me, it induces deep and raw emotion. It's not about the style, it's about the worship dude.

Jesus also said to go and spread the Gospel to all people. Imagine how many people these bands have reached BECAUSE they are metal bands. People who can't understand the words love the music, and then proceed to read the lyrics. When Jesus commanded us as Christians not to conform to the world, he meant not to give in to sin. Playing music, especially for God, is not sinful.
