My friend is a black guy and he is as old as me almost (closing in on 40). His family has the "black jesus" portrait in their house. He swears up and down that Jesus is black because that is what his parents taught him.

Does anyone here got any information about the black jesus movement?

We have no idea what Jesus looked like, except he had a beard and long hair. We can also guess he wasn't black, and I say that because of where he lived. He was Jewish, this we know, and he would have been darker skinned, but not black. The "White" jesus that is portrayed is wrong. Jesus would look israeli I think. That is where he was born (In the general area)

Agreed. Google Middle Eastern people and it should give you a good perspective.
I have a friend who says Jesus is black too, not really sure if he is kidding though.
But honestly I would keep it to yourself if you are planning on confronting him,
doesn't really matter in my opinion what color people think he was.

Historically, He would looked like the average brownish hippie living in the area 2000 years ago. (He was a Galilean and Nazarite)

Today, He looks just like everyone He lives within, that surrenders themselves to His will occasionally, to transmit His unconditional love to others. Beware! Colorblindness may be a side effect!
