Folks, I hate religion. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Henry Kim. I am 19 years old who grew up in a, what people call, a good fonded Christian family.
My dad was a member of one of the biggest churches in Korea- M S Presybterian Church. As growing up, my father forced me to do many things a regular
boy wouldnt want to do. He was very strict, respected man of the household. My father would make me read the bible daily, pray before every meal and going sleep,
always go to church without a excuse, participate at church events, be part of the church, have a bible test weekly, go to the morning serves at 5 AM, and more. There
were many restrictions on behalf of what my father thought was best for me to grown into a good Christian man. I was not allow to play the guitar (for the bible did not state
that we were allowed to played the guitar, only piano), listen to pop-music, read books that contains magic, violence, and games, hang out with friends on Sundays, and many more.
My father was doing all this so that I may not committ sins and be part of the world. All this so that I maybe earn God's grace and love. My father use to tell me, "Do this! do that!
you want to go to heaven, dont you?" I would sometimes even hear my pastor say this. I grew up with a false gospel.
Today, I attend to 4 different churches serving them. I often visit many other church to help out with praise, events and sometime a guest speaker. At my main church,
I serve as the youth group praise leader and the president of the youth missionary committee. Everyday I see churches going through the path that God doesnt desire.
I see pastors teaching the false gospel. Everyday I see leaders, followers, and kids learning the wrong things.
Most churches today are corrupt. They first start off telling God that they will work for God's glory. But once they are going well and getting big, they work for THEIR glory.
The religious people and churches are what disguests me the most.
Religion teaches you this; If you stop comitting sins, if you stop sleeping with women, if you stop drink, if you stop doing this and that, God will love you.
Redemption teaches you this; Because God has loved you first and proved his love by sending his one and only son, the least we can do is love him back and obeying him.
Here's a example maybe you guys can relate to-
Dad: Who am I?
Son: You're my daddy.
Dad: How do I feel about you?
Son: You love me.
Dad: What are you gonna do?
Son: I'm gonna listen to you, dad.
Look at Jesus for instence. When he was going around spreading Gospel he went to two different people; the religious and the sinners.
When Jesus went up to the sinners and said, "You need help." they agreed with him as said, "Heck yeah we do, do you mind helping us?"
When Jesus went to the most religious people and asked the same questions, they called him a liar and killed him.
Folks you dont have to earn his love. Yes, you have to stop comitting sins, sleeping with women, and all those that are listed. But that all comes when you accept Jesus as
you're savior. His love is already given to us from the begining. We are in debt! We pay that debt by listening to God, obeying God, glorfying God.
Some people participate on helping the poor. They go out to different countries as missionaries and build houses, feed the kids, and educated them. Why do they do this?
Most people that are trained in a false gospel think that they will get rewards (i.e. money, cars, houses) from God or good things from God. The truth is, you're not going to recieve
anything you expect. Instead, you are going to recieve something you didnt ask for; Pure heart, mind, and soul in Christ-like form. But most importantly, you are paying your debt
to God.
I know there will be a lot of religious folks basing on me, hating me, and debating with me.
But listen to yourselves..
Do you really have to earn your Father's love?
Folks, religion only seperates people. It only creates hatred, anger, and violence.
Its time for the truth to be spread. Let us rise up as the new generation of Christ and march over the world.
Much love,
HK
