Today I start a long drive to Cornerstone festival (http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/bands.php) where I will be preforming as the drummer of the band Hunker Down.
Now I've have troubles with throat infections a lot for the last few years, but just this morning it's starting to crop up again. I suspect by the time I arrive at cornerstone, it won't be pleasent. But I know that *someone* (and by that I don't mean anyone on our side) doesn't want to me going to Cornerstone this year to grow and spread Jesus' love to those who do not have a relationship with Him.
I refuse to let it stop me. Of all the things I can do, music is the only ministry I know for certain is a calling of mine.
Matthew 11:28 (and I still choke sometimes when I read this) says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." and I believe that as long as I'm doing what I should, no throat infection or any other ailment can keep me from it.
Pray for me, that I will continue to do the Lord's work even in the face of sickness.

#2. Do drummers need to sing during music? I have never heard of that ever.
#3. You will be in my prayers.
