So I recently heard this from our bishop of the state at our church and it just kind of stuck with me and made me think....

she said that Jesus didnt know that he was the christ, and that he was raised up to be the christ

as in the virgin Mary had to teach him and raise him up that way

and we see that non of his miracles etc etc didnt happen til he was 30 to 33

just feels wierd to me.

What are your thoughts on this?

Do you think Jesus was the savior and knew he was from the start?

Absolutely, he says it like 30 times in the New Testament!

Check out Matthew 24 for example.

Mary had nothing to do with him being the Christ. She was a sinner in need of salvation just like the rest of us. All have sinned except Jesus.

well his first miracle was when he was an adult. thats about the only thing she got right
his first miracle was at the wedding at cana

Jesus knew from birth what he had to do. You can't raise someone to be perfect. He himself does say he knew. His first miracle wasn't until late in his life because it wasn't time yet, simply put. Think, if He had been doing miracles from birth, things would have been severely different.

Jesus knew who he was:

Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, warning them not to tell who he was. (Matt 12:15-16)

Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ. (Matt 16:20)

Whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was. (Mark 3:11-12)

"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
Peter answered, "The Christ of God."
Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. (Luke 9:20-21)


And what he had come to do:

"I tell you the truth, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." (John 12:24)

"Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour." (John 12:27)
