God doesn't hate sinners. He hates the sin. else God would hate everyone of us. There is still a time for forgiveness and redemption.

and it seems to me that one of the biggest reasons that God hates sin is because it does us harm. He loves us, so He would obviously hate it when we sin if it's bad for us.

of course he hates it when we sin. But he still wants us to come to him for that forgiveness and cleansing.
