Are you a Christian?
What you're preaching isn't part of classical Christianity, but more of a new-age agenda.
You yourself have said "shed Religion". What I'm preaching is not from "Religion" but from the Bible itself.
Quote (Heights @ 21 May 2011 22:41)
"hell" is the grave, "the world of the dead", "the unseen place", not a literal place of eternal torture.
"This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of men, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they join the dead."
"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten."
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."
-- Ecc 9:3, 5, 10 (niv)
The word translated 'the grave' is the SAME WORD that is translated 'hell' elsewhere in the Old Testament. The word is 'sheol' (Hebrew, "the world of the dead"). It occurs a total of 65 times in the Old Testament, and is translated "hell" 31 times in the KJV.
The Greek equivalent of 'Sheol' in the New Testament is 'Hades' (translated 'hell' in the KJV). It occurs a total of 10 times. (Peter's quotation of Psalm 16:10 in Acts 2:25-28 proves that 'Hades' is the same as 'Sheol'.)
There are 13 more instances of the word 'hell' in the New Testament. The Greek word 'Gehenna' is the root word for 12 of them; 11 of which are spoken by Jesus Christ, and one in James 3:6. 'Gehenna' literally means "valley of the sons of Hinnom" (or "valley of Ben Hinnom"). It is written about in the Old Testament, as a place of pagan sacrifice that later became a rubbish dump outside Jerusalem (see Jer 7:31, 32:35). It is the place where "their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched" (Isaiah 66:24).
made some amendments to my (much) earlier post; sorry about the former mistakes
