I remember sitting with arms crossed at a youth conference once upon a time. I wasn't thrilled to be there and the musician on the stage (Upton) had me grumpy. His songs went on forever and the other musicians were breathless like 90% of contemporary Christian music. God used that point in time to slap me across the head. His beauty struck me without warning and for some reason the switch turned from hating Upton's music to loving it. I wish every Christian could understand that no matter how much you may like a certain genre of worship music, all joyful noise is pleasing to Him and He'd love to hear you sing every single one. Save some of the breathless voices, ^.^ I love contemporary radio stuff as much as hymns, rap or rock.
