Isaiah 40:22
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Proverbs 8:27 (King James uses "compass" meaning circle)
When He prepared the heavens, I [Wisdom] was there; when He drew a circle upon the face of the deep and stretched out the firmament over it,

Job 26:10
He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters,
At the boundary of light and darkness.

The four corners of the earth often referenced relates to compass direction:

"The Oxford English Dictionary defines "corner" to mean:

An extremity or end of the earth; a region, quarter; a direction or quarter from which the wind blows.

The word "corner" comes from a Latin root cornu, meaning "horn." That this is so survives in English via such words as "cornet," "corn," and "cornucopia." Hence, the four corners of the earth can be interpreted as referring to the four cardinal directions -- north, south, east and west"

ed: The bible also talks about the hydrologic water cycle which wasn't understood by the scientists of the time either.

Ecclesiastes 1:6-7
6 The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.
7 All streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.

Amos 9:6
6It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

Study some basic Greek, and you'll see for yourself that the word used in almost all instances to describe the Earth in the bible is actually much closer to (or is) "sphere". I found a few people trying to debunk this, but they conveniently alter the actual word used in scripture to a single word in all cases, and ignore each variation used to try and make an argument, without any actual basis or backing in linguistics history or study. Ie, purely conjecture from people that did no actual serious studies of Greek, and instead try to compare it to modern language nuances. In fact, many people have pointed this out repeatedly when man/science merely rediscovered this simple fact.
