if Jesus came back in 3000 ad (not that it wouldnt be cool if he came now)
but the bible says 1000 years is as 1 day with the Lord
and Jesus was in the grave and rose the 3rd day
now hes away from the earth, and he could come again on the 3rd day in heaven

but the bible does say no man knows when he is returning

Since that verse goes both ways, I would say that it speaks more to the idea that God is atemporal, i.e. God is not constrained by the bounds of time like we are, and does not serve as a hint to a possible time of the second coming.

Good to think about.

I personally just can't see it going on for that long. Everything has gone global now, therefore it seems as though this is the time He was prophesying about in Luke 21, Matthew 24, etc...
