When you go to a news station, they will most likely be telling you what Lindsay Lohan or Lady Gaga are doing. This is not news!
They want people to be pre-occupied with these idols they've created in the media, that people will be consumed by the fads, the items, and the pleasures. None of these things matter in the grand scheme of God's plan.
Its Jesus Christ that matters. He was sent down to this planet in the body of a man, to die on a cross.
At the time when Jesus was on the cross, the sun went dark for a few hours near His death, then there was a great earthquake that shook the people of the land.
When the roman centurion saw these things happen, he said: "Truly this was the Son of God."
Then after 3 days, Jesus rose again. He appeared to over 500 recorded witnesses, and many more for the days after His ressurection.
After a while, He ascended up into the sky in front of a host of people.
Here are 2 things Jesus said that He wants us to remember:
"I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, but through me."
"My kingdom is not of this world."
"The Meek Shall inherit the Earth."
"If anyone wishes to follow me, he must take up his cross and forsake his own life for my sake. For he who tries to save his own life shall lose it. But he who loses his life for my sake shall find it."
