So, i've always considered myself a christian.. I've read the bible, im baptised methodist, I pray before every meal, and before I go to sleep.. I believe in my heart there is a god.. But lately i've been getting deeper into this religion, and the good book is never wrong, right?

Leviticus 15: 19-24

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.
And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

Judges 19

Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

The list of disgusting things can go on and on, and im beginning to question my faith.. Well, not so much question it, more on the lines of striding away from it... Im the kind of person that wont trade humanitarism for religion..

I'm confused.

You've read the bible or you're currently reading it?

How did you make it through the bible the first time without "questioning" your faith?

Over the course of my life going to church, i've been through the bible.. I guess the pastor would just skip along those parts.

I cant stay focused enough to stay in 1 spot and read, ever.. at all.

Are you part of the Levitical Priesthood?

The bible often "Describes" something that happened in history, but that doesn't always mean God "Perscribes" it.

You sound like a pretty piss poor Christian. You should consider atheism.

Like legit you believe there is a god and pray to him all the time and think if you don't do this you'll go to hell. But you haven't actually read the BIBLE?

You're what I like to call a casual Christian.

Hint: Casual Christians are definitely going to hell according to the Bible. You can tell me you believe in God but I call shenanigans if you can't even be bothered to read his words.

Try harder or not at all.

His issue is with the bible. Why do you consistently make irrelevant posts regarding nothing anyone is talking about?

Or should he shed the bible too and simply make up what he wants to believe about Jesus Christ?

Your issue is with the Levitical Priesthood. (Leviticus) That part in the book of Leviticus is describing their ceremonial law at the time, according to their Levitical Law, they were not to sleep with a woman who was having her "period."

I am not under the Levitical Priesthood, My High-Priest's name is Jesus Christ.

Even I agree with this answer for these kinds of posts.

I was just confused why you even made another post.
