Now I know we hear many times that we do not judge people since we will be judged but I pose a question:
Shouldn't we all be judged to an extent?
I feel that sometimes Christians jump too quickly at saying "don't judge me because the Bible said not to" but in essence, we all should be judged. Here is an example:
If I were a leader at a church and my sole purpose of doing so was to gain prestige and honor, is that not wrong? Wouldn't someone who knew me well require to judge those actions to see that my motives are not pure? All that we do should be done in response to the outpouring of what God has done for us and not for me to gain any platform. Would it not be proper to make that judgment call and rebuke those actions? I feel that this is the case since their best interest is taken to mind and it's done for my better (I would assume).
What do you guys feel in regards to this? I think it's okay to judge in this aspect as long as it's in accordance with God and is done with encouraging. You can say challenge and observe instead of rebuke and judge but in the end, you are doing the same thing almost so I just went ahead and used the word.
As long as you do it in a loving way and not in a criticizing way in order to put them down. Why are you judging them? Are you being too harsh on them by basing what they are as a person on one single thing that they do?
I know a lot of people at Church who, at first sight are all loving and friendly who put on their Sunday best. They are merely suffering from the 'car-park' miracle. When it REALLY comes down to it they judge ME based on my looks, they all can totally see me as being a criminal or the bad guy based solely on my looks alone. Even the Christians at Church pre-judge whether they know it or not.
