Enoch & Elijah did not taste of death on earth, and were taken directly to heaven.

They both walked closely with the LORD.

I believe Elijah was spoken of a lot in the book of kings, I'll be reading that soon.

The book of Enoch is available, http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/

We also get a glimpse of one of Enoch's prophecies in (Jude 14)

Quote
Jude 14: "And Enoch, the seventh from Adam prophesied of these, saying; The LORD comes with many millions of His holy ones, to execute judgement upon all, and to convince all ungodly of all their ungodly deeds, which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

Its also interesting in Enoch because we are told about the Nephilim in detail, as well as how in the Last Days, the seasons will be altered, and the fruits of trees will not come in their time, etc... And we see that happening now.

Sounds symbolic, I look forward to reading this.

Will you be explaining this? ---> Its also interesting in Enoch because we are told about the Nephilim in detail, as well as how in the Last Days, the seasons will be altered, and the fruits of trees will not come in their time,

Sure, I ordered the book of Enoch last year from a bookstore, read it, and tucked it away somewhere, I will try to find it.

I could talk "ad nauseum" here but am led to just add two points.

1. "Many millions" is a horrid translation of the Koine. The best English fit is probably "myriad" or "indefinite large amount". The root word, of that Koine word used, means 10,000.

After saying that, I was led to look up the Amplified. You can see it in their attempt to explain it...

Jude 1:14 (Amplified Bible) It was of these people, moreover, that Enoch in the seventh [generation] from Adam prophesied when he said, Behold, the Lord comes with His myriads of holy ones (ten thousands of His saints)

2. The book of Enoch is precarious, if you do not have a relationship with Him and are not fluent in the canon of scripture... leave it be.

If that's not you, proceed with caution, in Christ, get the papyri and learn to translate anything that looks interesting in the English for the papyri.

A little bit on the book of Enoch:

Only look at this if you're in Christ.

Torm1, do you believe this Enoch book is inspired from God and should have been included in the Bible?

After having read it, yes its definitely inspired, you can tell by the first page.

Its included in some bibles, such as the Ethiopian bible.

It talks a lot about the last days, and how things will change, and how the celestial bodies will be moved out of their normal orbits, etc...

Here is the part that Jude was referring to when He quoted Enoch.

The first part of Enoch 1:

1. The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect ⌈⌈and⌉⌉ righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked ⌈⌈and godless⌉⌉ are to be removed. 2. And he took up his parable and said--Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, ⌈which⌉ the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come. 3. Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them:

The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling,
4. And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai,
⌈And appear from His camp⌉
And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens.

5. And all shall be smitten with fear
And the Watchers shall quake,
And great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth.

6. And the high mountains shall be shaken,
And the high hills shall be made low,
And shall melt like wax before the flame p. 32

7. And the earth shall be ⌈wholly⌉ rent in sunder,
And all that is upon the earth shall perish,
And there shall be a judgement upon all (men).

8. But with the righteous He will make peace.

And will protect the elect,
And mercy shall be upon them.

And they shall all belong to God,
And they shall be prospered,
And they shall ⌈all⌉ be blessed.

⌈And He will help them all⌉,
And light shall appear unto them,
⌈And He will make peace with them⌉.

9. And behold! He cometh with tens of thousands of ⌈His⌉ holy ones
To execute judgement upon all,
And to destroy ⌈all⌉ the ungodly:

And to convict all flesh
Of all the works ⌈of their ungodliness⌉ which they have ungodly committed,
And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners ⌈have spoken⌉ against Him.

The Bolded part is what Jesus' half-brother Jude quoted in the book of Jude.
