I have been a Christian since I was born. But coming up to our Christmas this year I found out alot of really disturbing information about so many things, it's driving me crazy!!

Here's a list of gods that all got born on December 25th, don't forget, most of them get publicly killed and resurected over easter too!

Attis of Greece
Krishna of India
Dionysus of Greece
Mithra of Persia
Horus of Egypt
Jesus of Nazareth
Salivahana of Bermuda
Orus of Egypt
Odin of Scandinavia
Crite of Chaldez
Thammuz of Syria
Adad of Assyria
Beddru of Japan

This is just the tip of the iceberg, almost every aspect from the bible is directly taken from religions throughout history...

I'm not saying I don't believe in God anymore. But I can't just blindly ignore facts like these...

Please, discuss. Your opinions right now are more important to me than anything

there are few of thise names that I can think of,, all born on december 25th?

how odd,, not sure what its suppose to lean to,, or anything,,

mayby I will look into this matter later,,

but really faith is faith

while people want fact to prove

there is no religion without the need of faith

as for what I think is,,

god wants you to have doubt,, he wants you to be able of thinking for your own and making your own choise

that is the ultimate freedome that has bin granted to us humans

there are alot of differant arguments and objections people have to Christianity

it reminds me that there is a spiritual war out there, Christianity has been under attack since it started (think about the persecution Jesus went through)

there are hundreds of 1 angle aruments out there against Christianity but it a 360 degree topic

I was an atheist a lil over a year ago, but now i see all the petty objections for what they are, nonsense (long story how I came to believe)

someone doesnt want us to know the truth and he uses corruptable man to distort the truth with false facts and worldly wisdom

-1 Corinthians 3:18-20-

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”;
and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”

-1 Corintians 1:25-

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Hope this helps, Stand firm brethren

You've been watching Zeitgeist. Its an attempt to discredit Jesus. The spirit of the world is at work there.

Question your faith, yes, but its the world who is your enemy, not Jesus.

He is coming to save. He is not like any of these other "dieties"

It's a fact that many religions have stories similar to Christ's story (the incarnate Son of God on Earth, died and was resurrected three days later, etc) and that many of these religions existed before Christianity or Judaism. Did the writers of the Bible steal these ideas from other religions as a way to convince practitioners of those religions that they should convert, or is it proof of Satan trying to mislead us in our walk? No matter what you'll find online or hear from other people, you're pretty much going to have to come to your own conclusion in this. I know which side I came down on, but your spiritual beliefs are up to you. Search your heart, search your mind, and pray on it. You'll find your own answer in time.

-Ephesians 2:1-10-

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

The sons of disobedience are walking with the evil one and he doesnt want anyone to come to know the truth (Jesus) -John 14:6-
I agree with bentherdonethat, pray about it and examine yourself (2 Corin 13:5)

I wouldn't worry to much about the dec. 25 thing as Jesus was most likely born around August, not December.
The reason we celebrate on the 25th is because that was already a holiday in the Roman world and would be an easy way to switch over to the Christian holidays.
They really have no idea which day is truly Christ's birthday.

Just watched a couple minutes of the zeitgeist movie, they really don't have their facts straight.

It makes more since factually, Jesus/Yeshua/Messiah was conceived near this time period in the past.

That is interesting because He would have been actually born near the feast of tents/tabernacles then.

You missed the basic Roman Saturnalia, that was a nice day for the early gentile church to celebrate.

If you want to bypass confusion and get to the bottom of "Christmas" start with a studying...
