Some people play instruments to worship God. That is their form of worship. Maybe they suck at singing?

The Catholic Church has been using musical instruments for over a thousand years so I don't understand what you think the problem is with using instruments.... The Catholic Church had a massive influence on secular and non-secular music. If they didn't use instruments all the shit you listen to now would either be completely different or non-existent. Catholics have always supported the use of music during mass.

what does God do all day ?

I would answer, that He is doing a reverse tower of babel, that he is uniting people from all tongues, tribes, and nations into a special unity( Church), drawing people into a relationship with his son Jesus Christ by the power of the gospel.

Musical Instruments, I think music and art are God given talents, and when you practice your talents you are glorifying God, the creative God who gave people gifts, so its natural to use our gifts while worshipping.

1) If a divine being exists, I doubt it's bound by time. Therefore, your question is probably better posed as, "What do you think a god does?"

2) I don't think a tool designed to enhance your understanding would be considered blasphemous. Would a holy book on tape be viewed as heresy because it makes your study easier or more enjoyable?

a tape doesnt make learning about god more enjoyable.it does make studying easier, but not more enjoyable, and im not sure how musical instruments are suppose to enhance your understanding.

about your book on tape thing
it says in the bible to preach the word to every living creature,he doesnt tell us how,so the book on tape would be making that easier, but musical instruments do not make it easier,so let me know how you feel about that
