Did God make us who we are?

God made us in His image, due to the fact of sin, and by our very nature, our hearts are confused and wicked (this is written, i forget where. ill look it up possibly, but i just woke up lol)
so then gross things i used to do, that was me and sin in me, but me in Christ is completely different because now I have a new identity -- im a saint
