If you were born in another country
and your parents raised you to practice a religion other than christianity,
Do you think you would still be a christian today?
If yes, Then please explain why and how

2 Timothy 1 : 8-9

8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

That we have been called according to Gods purpose precludes there being any other qualifiers such as your beginning " if " .

It is fruitless to speculate about counter-factual situations .

i don't think this really answers his question. yeah Gods grace is a gift and all we have to do is accept it, but i believe the OP is asking about those people who never have the opportunity to accept it

Born to practice Buddhism, not Christianity, never really thought about it but I'd probably say no. Parents are the one-way through religion, if you don't listen, it's up to you to move out.

Yes I would, because it is in God's plan for me to become a Christian. He would have had someone tell me about it one way or another, and I would have accepted. However, WidowMaKer_MK has a good point because if my parents were teaching me something else in a different country then I would have different parents and therefore I would be a different person. It doesn't make too much sense to put this out there, but thanks for making for a good discussion :)

So even if you lived in some remote tribe in the middle of nowhere and have never even heard of God you would still become a Christian... this makes no sence broski

I was never raised to practice religion. My mother is convinced God doesn't exist and my dad is Agnostic so I've never been pressured into it.

Through research and logical thinking I began realizing things about the world and around the age of 17 I felt the prescence of God.

It wasn't until about 6 months ago that I became a Christian, even though I am baptized Catholic I was never exposed to the religion.

So I can speak from experience, that even though my family is full of non-believers, I found Him on my own without anybodies help.

evidence of God is all around us, I'm sure I would have come to an understanding of Him and even realized that I sin against Him

You should read the book "Eternity in their Hearts", its about such a tribe. Also, read about Cornelius in the Bible. Cornelius was a guy in the Roman Army who didn't know anything about God, but genuinely was searching for God in his life, God saw this and responded by sending a messenger to him to hear the gospel so he could be saved. Acts chapter 10 is the story about him
