I have been on these forums for a while now, and ive been a Christian all my life.
This is the first post in this section because i have just now found it!
Anyway, me and my best friend (Opposite Sex) have been getting closer and closer, and i have really liked her for a while now. We have gone on a date, and planning another, and i just want prayers that if it does happen that its of God's will. I need prayer for strength that if it does happen, that i can stay abstinet and make good decisions in bad times. And that she is not neccessarily the right one for me, but someone that is good for me and that i can learn from! I really like her and i hope that God has put her in my life for a reason!
Something that is starting to annoy me is, even in the few threads ive been in, the amount of people saying there is no God. Stay out of our section, you are not needed, and certainly are not wanted.
Thanks!
My friend if there's one piece of advice I can give you about love, its to not seek it, let it find you, otherwise you'll look in all the wrong places. I'm not trying to say dont not meet girls etc etc, but find a friend for the right reasons, not just for lustful reasons. God will bring it into your life when the time is right, regardless have fun, new relationships are exciting and a great way to learn about yourself. Be careful of infatuation and love, both two different things, get to know her, and see where it goes from there. Is this girl a Christian? If so express to her how Christ plays a role in your life and your intentions, if shes a good girl she'll understand, if not you'll know she wasn't the one. Always stay true to God, he'll never steer you in the wrong direction, and if your unsure, ask him, hes a good listener
Building on a Solid FoundationStarts at Mathew 7:24
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.
26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.
27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
Just Make sure your building on Rock

God
Not Sand hehe
