He didn't deserve this, he was ran over by a car. What happened to him after he died?

More importantly, I hope the car didn't get dented or damaged in any way.

I don't know if this is a serious question or not. With that said, a co worker and I had a lengthy and friendly debate on whether or not pets would be in heaven.

She thought they would be but could never give a reason why, other than it just seemed like it would be a nice thing.

I believe that animals do not have a soul. They can't be saved. I have never read anything in the Bible that would support anyone or anything could go to heaven other than we humans.

I asked my co worker if her dog bit the neighbor, would the dog go to hell? Doesnt make since at all to me.

There is no after life for your dog. I am sorry for the loss of a family pet.

If animals have no soul, do they have consciousness? Animals can feel embarassed, sad, happy, pain - you have no reason to think they don't have a soul other than your preconceptions. Let's say for a moment that they don't have a soul. So they can't make decisions, right? They do not make decisions, they are not sentient. Then what causes them to bite someone else? Instinct, intuition, reflexes? Does a baby sin when they kick and scream and bite, out of nothing but their own helplessness? No, I would not say so. The question is then, does an animal NEED saving? Doesn't lack of sentience imply they are sinless? They do not have original sin, as they are not human, what do they need to be saved from?

Now, let's look at the other viewpoint, in that a dog knows it is doing evil when it attacks someone, pees on your carpet, etc. This implies that your animal is conscious, that they are cognizant of their actions, that they are sentient. Many religions (mostly eastern ones) view animals as sentient. So if they are sentient, conscious, aware of themselves in every sense, why should they not have a soul? Just because the bible does not mention it does not mean it does not or will not happen - it does not show/mention every exception, every rule. In fact, the bible even supports the previous theory, where animals are sinless by nature: Matthew 5:8, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Do animals not have hearts as well?

Interesting viewpoint. However, I will stick with my notion.

I think the lord Jesus Christ put all animals on our beautiful earth for us to eat to be honest.

Any animal belongs to Jeroboam and dies in the city,we will eat
and any animal that dies in the field, the people of the sky will eat, for the LORD has said it!

im not sure, but i do think that most animals were put to eat, while animals such as dogs are meant to be here to give us a greater compassion and understanding, tbh.

Matthew 5:8
A 'pure heart' means a sincere mind. A person with a pure heart loves God more than anyone else. God matters to that person, more than anything else in that person's life.

This scripture isnt pointing out to all bodily hearts of the world....

I believe anaimals do go to heaven.

The prophet Isaiah says God will include animals in the new heavens and new earth:

"The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, says the LORD." (Isaiah 65: 25, NIV)

In the last book of the Bible, Revelation, the apostle John’s vision of heaven also included animals, showing Christ and the armies of heaven "riding on white horses." (Revelation 19:14, NIV)
