What do you guys do?

The bible flat out says to NOT get drunk, but I find it so hard...

Okay i'm not a christian, so maybe my opinion doesn't count, but according to the bible Jesus turned water into wine and drank it. If he did it, why shouldn't you be allowed to?

I think the Bible is clear, as you pointed out. In my opinion, if you can not drink in moderation, don't do it.

I quit. There was no moderation in my life.

Please feel free to quote an exact part of the Bible where Jesus drank wine.

But anyway, don't feel bad about drinking. You don't have to take the Bible too fundamentally. Live the way you are, as long as you love God from the bottom of your heart.

We know Jesus will come again, do you really want to chance it that you will be flat out drunk and unable to remember it when it happens?

you can't say Jesus didn't drink wine because it's everywhere in the bible but the thing is he didn't drink to the point where he was drunk that's the fundamental difference the bible speaks strongly against getting drunk but it doesn't say you can't drink alcohol Paul even encourages Timothy to drink the wine (i'm just guessing but it's probably due to the water being unclean)

God hates drunkards, pray and believe that the holy spirit will help you..and it will.

@greydoom, God does not want us to do whatever we want and then just believe from the bottom of our hearts. that is wrong, we must seek God with all of our hearts and put him first, instead of putting ourselves first.

God should always come first in a Christian's life.

if you feel ashamed and guilty or even questioning then you probably shouldn't be doing it
