I'm getting little frustrated.

I've been a christian all my life, but I'm beginning to lose my faith since I see no hope left in it.

I keep praying and praying and praying that god would show me the path, but He never answers in any way.

Then again, I havn't explored The Bible too much, meaning that the answer could be there.

But should the love towards God and Jesus be completely selfless?

I was in your position once. Until 2 years ago when I was on my solo experience on a leadership camp. I got lost almost instantly after getting dropped off at my dedicated area. I was wandering around for over half an hour and I had no idea where I was. In the end I decided to pray to the Lord to help me find my way back. Instantly after praying I went in a random direction where I found a famililiar pathway, followed it back up and I found my way back to my dedicated location.

That was my turning moment. My prayers were answered instantly.

Maybe because there's no such thing as an all-knowing magical man in the sky?

Ever think of that logic?

Believe me, I've been through few phases in my life, such as being a nihilist, satanist, atheist, occultist and almost anything you could imagine.

But none other has brought me such happiness as christianity. Wheather God exists or not is not the point, but rather does believing God bring you happiness.

Therefore, I really don't give a damn if God really exists or not, as long as believing him brings me comfort, safety and joy, I'm all fine with that.


For not sounding completely selfish, I'll ask something from you: What do you believe in? What's the main source of strenght in your life?

Theres no mathematical equation on how the earth was made and gave life to evolution. It aint no 1 +1 = monkeys, Gotta be creation, its jsut my belief and faith

Belief and faith is all we need imo.

god knows you better than you know yourself. what you were asking is something of least importance. stupid thing (no offense). he has a greater judgement than everyone and knows when he should answer a prayer and when theres no need to.

for example when i was little i used to pray to god to give me powers like goku so i can shoot kamehamehas and blast stuf. i never got that power though, should i not believe in him because of that anymore? of course not! lol think about what your praying for and is it really serious (can you live without it?)
