Don't wanna go into too much detail, but yesterday my best friend from high school had a family tragedy. His parents died in a homicide/suicide. It is crushing to me because I knew them so well. But I can't help but think about my friends little brothers and entire family. Please pray for my friend and his family. If you know any verses that could help my friend in this terrible time please pm me them or post them. Thank you.

"trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" Proverbs 3:5-6

I'll be praying for you all.

Isaiah 57

1 The righteous perish,
and no one ponders it in his heart;
devout men are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.

2 Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death.

this one is one of the extra books in the catholic bible

But the just man, though he die early, shall be at rest. For the age that is honorable comes not with the passing of time, nor can it be measured in terms of years. Rather, understanding is the hoary crown for men, and an unsullied life, the attainment of old age. He who pleased God was loved; he who lived among sinners was transported – Snatched away, lest wickedness pervert his mind or deceit beguile his soul; For the witchery of paltry things obscures what is right and the whirl of desire transforms the innocent mind. Having become perfect in a short while, he reached the fullness of a long career; for his soul was pleasing to the Lord, therefore he sped him out of the midst of wickedness. (Wisdom 4:7-14)
Helped me understand why one of my good friends died very young, gave me some sort of peace about it
