I was saved when I was 8 years old, I remember this day because I was scared, I had no clue what being a Christian or saved meant or why we even needed to be saved in the first place until Brother Jeff explained it to me, he also explained the differences in being saved and being a Christian. Once I knew what it meant to be saved I recognized the fact that I was a sinner and needed a savior, I then accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. I didn't exactly read my bible or act like a real Christian until late last summer. But ever since then I've been so blessed to be back in the church and with Gods people. This past year God has shown me a lot, I realized that we all need to be more forgiving and more understanding of each other as Christians and we need to not hurt each other but help each other in our walk with Christ. I realize that everyone needs encouragement every now and then and no one is perfect, everyone needs help at some time. Paul states in Galatians Chapter 6 verse 1: Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. And in verse 2 he goes on to say: Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Thanks everyone.

Thank you sir, I have to stand up in front of my church and give a testimony next week or so.

I'm nervous as heck, but I'm just going to allow the words to flow out and try not to mess up. :)

Are you going to be reading it or are you memorizing it?

Well I want to memorize it so it looks better, but I'm probably going to end up reading it, :P

Rehearse it a lot so that you don't need to read it. Let the Holy Spirit work through you.

just ask the holy spirit to speak through you, and you dont need to rehearse, lol.

I give testimonies all the time to a group of like 10-20 people, different than a whole church, but idk, i dont get nervous too much.

You don't get nervous because you do it all the time.

Where is the line drawn if you just ask the Holy Spirit to work through you? That would be slothful. You work diligently (rehearsing) and do what you can to make the best of the situation and then the Holy Spirit does His work.
