so what're your guy's views on being saved?
some say once saved always saved others say that you need to continue living for christ and some say you need to be baptized to be truly saved
i feel that as long as you accept Christ into your life and follow the first and second commandment you're good because it covers everything
"love the lord your God with all your heart all your mind and all your soul and the second is like it love your neighbor as yourself"

Yep we are saved.

being saved means that you have chosen God to be the focal point of your life, and that you believe in the word , also, i follow all commandments - God made em, im gonna try to follow em.

Revelation 22:19
And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.


clearly states that your salvation can be taken away

With all due respect, it doesnt seem that clear to me.

I'm not a debator, manure stirrer, or a great scholar. However, I feel that there are different rewards in heaven. Not everyone will receive the same reward when they get there. Perhaps "will take away from his share" could mean a lesser reward.

I dont know, just a thought.

I think if a person is truly saved, they will live for Christ and show fruit.

Being baptized is not the same as being saved. It is an outward expression of one's salvation. I think it symbolizes going into the grave, washing the sin away, and being a new creature in Christ.

My 2 cents worth.

Getting saved is allowing god to be king of your life.
Being baptised is cleansing the sin you have...to become a whole new person for God.

I can't be saved.. I've used the bible pages for joints..

You can be saved, friend. Never, ever think you can not.

I beleive that once saved allways saved. However I also beleive that while others will be travling the street of gold in sports cars, I will be lucky if I receive skates But none the less I will be there
