Since jesus changed all the laws between old and new testaments; anybody care to explain these couple of quotes? I found them while doing some research and i've always been curious about them. They are quotations from jesus himself according to my research.

Quote
“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19)

Quote

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid."  (Luke 16:17 NAB)

The Law was meant to serve as a symbol of Christ and what he was going to accomplish. The law was not fulfilled until Christ Resurrected on the third day. During his lifetime, it was still necessary to follow the law. Christ, having written the law, understood what it meant better than those who sought to manipulate that law achieve personal gain.

Basically, many argue that the laws of the time were cast aside, and one is saved only through grace. (in transition between testaments)

You have to look at a few verses before to begin to get the idea Jesus was relating...

John 7:16-18 (King James Version)

16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

The preceding verse it also majorly important...

Luke 16:16 (King James Version) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Here is a few more useful verses...

Romans 5:20-21 (King James Version)

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hebrews 9:22 (King James Version) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

----------------------------------

The Law was never meant to save anyone, just as legalistic religion can not save anyone.

Salvation stems from our redemption by (perfect covenant blood sacrifice) that Jesus gave us, by His death and receiving it, requires acknowledgment of the gift, agreement with Him and receiving it so we may have the ability to follow Him in every temporal circumstance as we trust Him. Just as we learn to trust the leading of any good friend, over time as they prove themselves worthy in our individual acts of submission to their word.

So like, everything in the giant book, is all like to get you to see He wants to be like your friend and stuff and as you get the idea, accept, chill with Him and hang out, stuff happens and your like "whoooa!" and it makes sense and you're all seeing "He knows what He is doing and junk" and you are like "COOL!"

Not like most of the people on here (atheists or non-believers mostly.) who bring up some terrible argument.

(not saying your a atheist.)
