This might be an easier translation to understand:



Basically He's saying He will reward us with good times when we behave, and will punish us when we don't behave.

At least that's how I understand it.

This particular use of the word evil is speaking of natural disasters and such, or the results of them, or more specifically, the feeling of un-peacefulness. You need to read the bible carefully in instances like this.

Yeah that is called Karma. Even if I am a Christian and Karma is a ?Muslim? thing, I do believe in Karma. Do good things and you get rewarded, do bad things and you get punished.
