I recently had a huge addiction to heroine. Every time I did it I heard a voice inside my head telling me not to do it. This is not the life I want to live. I to this day believe this was our lord trying to help me get my life on the correct path. :)

To this day I haven't touched it and i'm living a strong healthy life. Thank you god!

Anyone have stories to share?

My defining moment in life IN RELATION TO GOD dates back to 2 years ago. I was at a crossroads of does he really exist? As well as is he listening? etc.

I was at a leadership camp and part of the camp for stage 2 is to go out in the bush for 4 days and 3 nights...SOLO! The thing was that everybody was about 100m away from eachother but there was a road and across the road the others were only 50m away from us but this was a place where we weren't going to be traveling.

Anyway I got lost within the first 5 minutes of getting dropped off and somehow managed to end up 60m inwards in the forest. I was trudging around for about 15 minutes and I hadn't a single clue where I was. I knew that there was a pathway leading inwards by the side somewhere before I got lost.

In the end I decided to pray to the Lord and turn to him for guidance (Nobody else was around so what was there to be embarrassed about?) then I went in a RANDOM direction which lead me to a pathway, I followed upwards and then I found my luggage. At that point I was found and therefore saved. From then on I've realised that God DOES listen and DOES care for us. Prayer DOES work and I DO consider it a miracle.

15 minutes of nothingness, only getting more lost. A single prayer and INSTANTLY after that I went in a direction and I found my way back. Things like that I don't consider it luck or a coincidence. I DO consider that it was God.

I do have a story like that, that happened much earlier but that implies my other defining moment in life and I dare not share THAT one.

I think God saved me countless of times .

But sometimes I feel that what ever he has given he will take them away if we do not appreciate it .

But at the end of the day maybe he is teaching us a lesson in many other ways . For me right now , I think and believe that I should concentrate on what that is important in life that I will do well in and flourish in before I can even spread the message.

Its important to know that even in Christiandom, when one cannot handle himself or walk in the light of the Lord he better try not to spread the message.

Alot of people in my country are just blindly following what the pastor and the head of the church . They never actually sit down quietly and listen to what God has to say.

For everything else refer to the bible thats your best bet . Always refer to the bible and always do quiet time or just speak to the Lord in Quiet Meditation about it .

Open up your ears and becareful of what some pastors might say in church because they are not always right all the time :)

Great story man, keep it up. I always love hearing stories of people who stop doing drugs and moving on.

Ya it was really hard. I spent only 2 weeks in rehab and i've been clean since then. I sometimes have withdrawls still and urges to do it, but i have to keep telling myself its not worth it. Please keep me in your prayers :)
