But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

The job of a shepherd is to protect their flock, chase after lost sheep and guide them. In this verse, David describes the nature of God as a shepherd. God guides His people and protects them lovingly and with care. Because of this, we don’t have to be afraid because we can confidently trust that God is leading us where we need to go. We lack absolutely nothing in God. He is our strength, protector and keeper.

Psalms 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

2 Maccabees 7:28

“I beseech thee, my son, look upon the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, and consider that God made them of things that were not; and so was mankind made likewise"

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
