If you're afraid to stand up for your point of view because you're afraid you'll offend someone, you're in the wrong place. Offending someone is inevitable in a discussion about any important topic; in fact, it's unavoidable if you have vested interests in the conversation. Of course, there are ways to go about this discussion civilly (without diverting from the topic and resorting to ad hominems), but even in civil discussion you will inevitably offend someone. Educating the ignorant is also called respect; it is caring enough about the other person to allow them to see both sides.

I feel as if your emotions are getting in the way of the reality of the situation. I don't see a single thing wrong with having one thread pertaining to encouragement and its relevant discussion; you will still be able to say what you need to say. It seems to me as if you have a vested interest in promoting multiple threads just because you want to flaunt your beliefs and unnecessarily impose them on others, which, ironically, I see as not the Christian way to do things.
