In my experience I have found that christians who do not believe in hell generally dont follow the bible in it's entirety. So its kind of like a cop out for not do everything the bible suggests you should do. "It's OK, I wont got to hell for not doing that because it doesn't exist" I'm not saying this is true for all, but its just what I noticed.

H7585 seol from H7592; hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates: grave, hell, pit.

G86 hades from G1 (as a negative particle) and G1492; properly unseen, i.e. "Hades" or the place (state) of departed souls: grave, hell.

G1067 geenna of Hebrew origin [H1516 and H2011]; valley of (the son of) Hinnom; gehenna (or Ge-Hinnom), a valley of Jerusalem, used (figuratively) as a name for the place (or state) of everlasting punishment: hell.

Did you read the scriptures about Hinnom I posted?

"And do not call anyone on earth 'father', for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called 'teacher', for you have one Teacher, the Christ." - Matthew 23:9, 10 (n.i.v)

"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you." - John 16:12, 13, 14, 15 (n.i.v)

"Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth." - John 17:17 (n.i.v)

"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." - Acts 17:17 (n.i.v)

"I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit - just as it has taught you, remain in him."

"Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil." - 1 Thess 5:19, 20, 21, 22 (n.i.v)

Heights - Here are some brief verses that clearly detail whether you will go to heaven or hell:

Daniel 12:2 - "Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt."
Matthew 25:46 - "These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
John 5:28-29 - "28 Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment."
Revelation 20:14-15 - "14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

This is merely the tip of the iceberg, and leaves no doubt, and is highly compelling in and of itself.

And who says you can't live by the world and live by God? You need to fully believe in the bible to be accepted by God?
That's so stupid. I don't read the Bible, but I believe in my own type of God. God works in many ways, I believe God also exists in everyone who does good for others. Despite what the Bible says, I don't really care what it says.

You cannot live FOR both. you of course have to live by both.

What are you trying to say to me? I can quote several of those same verses back at you.

Did you read all of my earlier posts?

"Hades" i.e. the grave, is translated "hell" in a lot of bibles.

Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, the "second death".

The second death is "everlasting destruction", "eternal punishment"; see 2 Thess 1:9, Matt 25:46

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna." - Matt 10:28 (n.i.v)

"Do you show your wonders to the dead? Do those who are dead rise up and praise you?
Is your love declared in the grave, your faithfulness in destruction?
Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?" - Psalm 88:11, 12 (n.i.v)

"Let my persecutors be put to shame, but keep me from shame; let them be terrified, but keep me from terror.
Bring on them the day of disaster; destroy them with double destruction." - Jeremiah 17:18 (n.i.v)

Weasle, you need to read the bible more( meh i know i need to also and that i don't very often) but based off of what you have been saying you seem to be very narrowminded and not open to different interpretations of the bible. And also, you can't go aroudn saying people who don't beleive the same things as you are being decieved, you need to give them your rational ( or non-rational, you never know,) reasons for beleiveing what you do, and not beleiveing in what they say. Also, though I myself think Vio is incorrect in his thoughts(not sure if he is a girl didn't look in profile), I will provide him with what i think and if they ask for explination, give them the verses with what I think portrays that moment properly, then explain my logical thinking on that topic. As for no heaven or hell, there are equal merrit for both beliefs, I think that a Maker is a more logical option than matter just appearing out of nowhere so shall I not beleive in the makers word? Also most other religions in some way copy christianity, or like the jewish religion, branch into it, or like the muslim religion, branch off of it. From what I know and think with my life experiances i think that God and Jesus are the truth, way , and the light, and also that there is a heaven and hell because who am I to doubt their words?

There is merit only in the truth.

"Heaven" is the abode of God...

"The highest heavens belong to Yahweh, but the earth he has given to man." - Psalms 115:16 (n.i.v)

This is what Yahweh says:
"Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?" - Isaiah 66:1 (n.i.v)

I believe the "paradise" Jesus Messiah promised to the thief on the cross was the future paradise earth. (Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:17-25; 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1-5).

"Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy." - Isaiah 65:17-19

Honestly i do not know enough to make a proper interpretation, i would have to see the whoel chapter for proper understanding but from a guess i'd say hes sayign that once the rapture happens hes going to make a new earth as heaven and put us here and leave hell the way it is and there will be no need for heaven, or he will create the new earth temporary to carry the people of heaven while he is creating a new heaven then move them there. I'm no scholar so don't take my word but as for my opinion it is an idea to ponder on.
