When we see what Jesus did we are seeing prophecy of what God has created us for and intends for us to do. Our spirit is identical to Jesus’ spirit, so we are equipped to do what Jesus did when he walked on the earth. We have all the same resources Jesus had inside us already. So we can follow his example and do the same things we saw Jesus doing.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. — John 14:12

We think of waiting as negative: we don’t like it, nothing is happening. We’re interested in the destination, but God is interested in the journey. He’s working on us along the way. When God decides to bless you, he’ll show you mercy that you didn’t deserve, favor that you didn’t earn. It wasn’t anything you did; it was simply the favor of God.

God sees the years you’ve lost. He knows the pain, the hurt, what wasn’t fair. The beauty of our God is he doesn’t just heal the wounds; He restores the years. He makes up for what wasn’t fair. God is going to give you another chance. Don’t believe those lies that you’re too old, you’ve made too many mistakes. You wouldn’t be reading this if God weren’t about to restore the years. He’s about to make up for that harvest that you missed.

It may feel like you’re running out of time, but God wouldn’t have planned out your days, he wouldn’t have given you a destiny and then not given you the time to fulfill it. Too often, we’re fighting when we should be resting. We’re standing when we should be sitting. You need to have faith that God is in control. It’s said that time is the one thing that we can’t get back. That’s true in the natural, but we serve a supernatural God. He knows how to make up for lost time.

Today, I pray that you experience God’s love in a fresh and new way. I pray that you receive his strength and wisdom so you can rise higher in every area of your life! God wants you to rise higher in every area of your life. He wants to increase you and position you to be a greater blessing to the world. Receive that into your heart and let it change your perspective.

A person’s strong spirit sustains them in times of difficulty. How do you strengthen your spirit? By spending time in prayer and meditating on the word of God. Every day is an opportunity to grow in God’s love. Ask him to show you his love like never before, and then show that love to the people around you.
