If we do not act on feelings, what is a human supposed to act on?

Is smoking weed a sin? Although the Bible does not address marijuana directly, it does discuss other mind-altering drugs. Specifically, the Bible addresses the use of drugs in the book of Galatians:

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

Corinthians 6:19-20:

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, 20, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Peter 1:13:

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:2

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

Long story sort i'll see most of you in hell.

there is a vast difference between drinking alcohol , and being a drunk
just as there is a vast difference between smoking a joint every now and then , and being stoned all day every day

It seems when I hang out with friends and go out with them.. it causes me to sin more.
And when Im crashing home.. everything seems spiritually healthier.

When I hang out with my girlfriend...
I lustfully think about her.. because shes gorgeous. And I'm also a horny teenager still.
When I'm with friends..
I curse, drink [ alot..], smoke and also lustfully think of the girls that are friends.
I stopped watching porn.. because I want to spiritually become stronger..
how a body builder works out everyday...
I stop watching porn everyday.. its so hard to sleep at night and every night.

I know I am the sinner, but it seems like society makes it alot harder for me....
even at church.. ever since our youth pastor left.. we have older pastors that don't really relate to us.. everyone during sermon look at their ipods.. and dose off.

i feel the parable of the slothful servant probably applies here
burying your head in the sand , and ignoring the world , doesnt make you a better man
dealing with your problems can tho .....
all you can do is your best

Then why do you choose to be part of a religion that makes you feel guilty about doing what you want to do. If you really viewed those things as "sinful" you would feel bad doing them of your own accord and thus stop doing them, not because you believe some higher power is looking over your shoulder.

Good point. If only there were a place where we could separate the people who enjoy murder from society.

Sin leaves you empty no matter what. There is no permanent fulfillment.

Genesis 1:12
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Isaiah 18:4-5
4For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

5For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

Revelation 22:1-2
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

I hate it when people twist the words to try and make a point out of something that means nothing of what is being applied.... These same people are the reason for so many that will never truely find the meaning of being a christian.. Nor what the bible is truely telling us.. They dont even realize that they are playing right along with the devil and his scheme to keep many in the dark and away from the truth... When you are truely saved...you wont do the sins of the flesh, you will be a new creature washed white in the name of the father, son and holy ghost.. I pity all of you that have no foundation nor understanding of the parables of the great book... God save your souls before the end children...
