Such as : it says the sights,smells, etc. in Hell you can never get used to..
Sulfur is like the only thing no matter how much you smell it you will continue to not get used to it -- there is TONS of sulfur int he center of the Earth.
Obviously this is just a theory, as you said noone really knows.

well, my mistake, it may not very well be just 1,000 but according to all the google definitions of "legion", it says 3,000 to 6,000 men in a unit of Roman army
each unit of the Roman army were called legions and had their own captain or commander
Legion was a term used in Jesus day, therefore the bible used it
And I really dont have any arguments on the location of hell, I don't even want to know where Hell is lol
